Bruno Taut 1880–1938 is an exhibition catalogue about the German architect, urban planner, theorist Bruno Taut and his life work. The German-speaking catalogue has been published by Akademie der Künste, Berlin, in 1980; the exhibition marked the centenary year of Bruno Taut’s birth.

The book gives a comprehensive view towards Bruno Taut’s life and career and gives him the much-needed historical context. The expert articles written by various writers examine Taut’s designs, theories, political activity and role as an influential protagonist of expressionist modernism and educator both in Germany and abroad. The book also contains a selection of Taut’s texts accompanied by his contemporary projects, and a concise list of works and biographical details. The book has been richly illustrated with black-and-white photographs, architectural drawings and other historical material from the archives. The texts are in German.
