Budapest through the Eyes of and Architect by Pál Granasztói (1908–1985) is a personal analysis of the Hungarian capital. The author was an architect and he writes about his home town with passion and unique personal knowledge. The beautiful black-and-white photography is by Lajos Czeizing (1922–1985), a noted Hungarian photographer.
The book presents Budapest as the architect sees it: a modern conception animated by its buildings, monuments, bridges and historical sites, street life, the traffic, the weather conditions, by day and night. The text is in English.
The copy in our stock is in nice condition except for a slight musty smell. The binding is fine and the pages are clean without markings except for the inscription on the first flyleaf and some yellowing on the edges. The dust jacket shows some signs of shelf wear and it is a bit edge worn.
