Contemporary Czech Architecture – Tschechische Zeitgenössische Architektur presents the situation of Czech architecture from at the turn of the millennium. The focus is on the developments since the country’s regained freedom and other political changes in the society since 1989.

The book showcases a rich variety of new project from all fields of building and from all over the Czech Republic. The projects have been presented with colour photographs and some small-scale architectural drawings. The book also contains two essays about the general aspects of Czech architecture: Pavel Halík’s In Quest of Architectural Culture, and Petr Kratochvíl’s Tendencies of Contemporary Czech Architecture.
