Estonian Architecture: The Building of a Nation

Estonian Architecture – The Building of a Nation is a portrait of a vigorous, coherent culture that has survived in the face of extreme outside pressure. International trends have been fluently integrated into local traditions, producing a highly original architecture that merits due recognition. As the author Liivi Künnapu observes: “A nation of one million can possess – indeed does possess – a significant modern architecture.”
