GA Houses 10: New Waves in American Architecture was published in 1982 and it is a follow-up to the GA Houses 9 on the same theme. The journal features a selection of early post-modernist houses and other small-scale residential projects. The cover image is from the Politiziner addition by Peter Waldman.

The architects include Mario Botta, Carlo Scarpa and Wurmfeld Associates. The Special Feature section in GA Houses 10: New Waves in American Architecture showcases housing projects by Stanley Saitowitz, Peter Waldman, Batey & Mack, Steven Holl, R. Fernau + L. Hartman, Jeremy Kotas, Thomas Gordon Smith, and Ken Mackenzie. The featured projects inlude, for instance, Mario Botta’s seminal House at Stabio, Switzerland (1981) and three intriguing early works by Steven Holl: Metz House (Staten Island, NY, 1980), Bridge of Houses (Melbourne Competition 1979, New York 1981), and Pool House and Sculpture Studio (Scarsdale, NY, 1980–81).

The issue also includes a typological analysis titled Elements of residence – Outdoor rooms written by Joel Levinson.

The texts in GA (Global Architecture) publications are in Japanese and in English. The illustration consists mostly of high-quality architectural photographs both in black-and-white and colour as well as architectural drawings. The copy in stock is in good condition. The binding is fine and the pages are clean. There is only some minor shelf wear and some slight dirt stains on the covers and some slight yellowing on the edges of the pages.
