Joseph Maria Olbrich (1867 bis 1908), einer der bedeutendsten Architekten des Jugendstils, hat das Baugeschehen der Jahrhundertwende in Österreich und Deutschland entscheidend beeinflußt und bereichert. In seiner kurzen Schaffensperiode erarbeitete er über 150 Projekte und Bauten, su denen so bekannte Baudenkmäler wi das Gebäude der Wiener Secession, der Hochzeitsturm und andere Bauten auf der Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt sowie das Warenhaus Tietz in Düsseldorf gehören.

The text is in German. The book has been generously illustrated with photographs and architectural drawings.

The copy in our stock is in nice condition. The pages are clean without any markings, and the binding is fine. There is some age-related yellowing on the edges of the pages, and the dust jacket shows some signs of shelf wear, edge wear, and signs of use, and there is a small tear.
