This special issue titled Un Moment de l’Architecture Finlandaise was published by the distinguished French architectural journal L’Architecture d’Aujourd’hui in 1968. The contents were combined from the issue no 134 on Nordic architecture published in November 1967 and no 135 on public buildings published in January 1968. The issue was edited together with the Finnish Embassy in Paris apparently for promoting Finnish modernism abroad.

The publication gives a gorgeous cross-section of the state-of-the-art in Finnish architecture in the 1960s. There are 5 projects by Alvar Aalto, 3 projects by Aulis Blomstedt, 2 projects by Viljo Revell, Aarno Ruusuvuori, Reima and Raili Pietilä, Marjatta and Martti Jaatinen, and Erik Kråkström each, and 1 project by both Timo Penttilä and Kaija and Heikki Siren. The issue also presents the results of the international architectural competition for the centre of Espoo, which has later been described as the groundbreaking moment for structuralism in Finland.

The copy for sale is in good condition. The cover shows minor wear and ageing, but the pages are tidy.
