Architect, designer Marcel Breuer (1902–1981) was unquestionably one of the most important figures in early functionalism and the Bauhaus movement. Breuer is best known for his groundbreaking tubular steel furniture such as the Wassily Chair (1925) or the B19 table (1928) as well as many typological developments in modern housing.

The book contains a general introduction to Marcel Breuer’s life and career and an article discussing his architectural projects in respect of the Modern Movement. The texts are in Italian and English. The book has been lavishly illustrated with black and white photographs of Breuer’s furniture and architecture. There are also a couple of colour plates, and some plans and sections. The book concludes with a chronological list of Breuer’s main works and projects.
