Mies van der Rohe Award 2005 is a publication about the award-winning projects that received the esteemed international recognition in 2005. The European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture is a biennial award for an EU-based architect or architectural office for outstanding achievement in architectural design constructed in Europe. In 2005, the winner was the Netherlands Embassy in Berlin by OMA (Rem Koolhaas and Ellen van Loon).

This Mies van der Rohe Award 2005 catalogue showcases the six shortlisted and the 27 runner-up projects – including the Kärsämäki Church in Finland designed by Anssi Lassila and Lassila Hirvilammi Architects. The book also contains short essays by Francis Rambert, Aaron Betsky, Suha Özkan, Eduard Bru, and Roberto Collovà.
