Nordic Architects Global Impacts showcases Nordic architectural practices who respond to the global impact of urbanization and the escalating climate crisis. The editor is Kristoffer Lindhardt Weiss who has gathered together projects from 60 Nordic architecture firms including BIG, Snøhetta, Tham & Vinegård, Wingårdhs,  Dorte Mandrupp, ALA Architects, JKMM, K2S Architects, Lahdelma & Mahlamäki Architects, and Oopeaa.

The richly illustrated book contains 200 projects that all reflect the recent changes in architectural values. The architectural profession is under a substantial reorientation and the advanced Nordic societies and their architectural traditions play a significant role in this process. The prevailing societal and environmental challenges require concrete, pragmatic solutions that concern, for example, the nature of public space, sustainable energy consumption and affordable housing. The projects included in the book have been presented with colour photographs, architectural drawings, diagrams etc. as well as project explanations written by the architects themselves.

Nordic Architects – Global Impacts is an attempt to explore the potential within the transition on all scales – from individual houses to master plans – and the ambition of creating socially viable projects across a wide range of types and contexts. There is no doubt that Nordic architects feel obligated to explore and develop sustainable strategies for managing the diverse issues at hand, and the critical search for answers is, in its own way, evident in every single project in the book.
