Ny arkitektur i Finland (Tammi, 1967) is the Swedish edition of Pekka Suhonen’s seminal book of Finnish modernist architecture of the late 1950s and 1960s. The modern Finland was built during the post-war decades, so this monograph is one of the most relevant outlook to the vast architectural development of the Finnish built environments.

The book presents the greatest achievements of 1960s Finnish architecture with black-and-white photos and Pekka Suhonen’s analytical and descriptive texts. The included projects and their architects have since become the most well-known examples of Finnish modernism: Heikki and Kaija Siren, Alvar Aalto, Aarne Ervi, Viljo Revell and their best mid-century works are all there. The minimalist layout has been designed by the then-constructivists Esko Miettinen and Juhani Pallasmaa. The texts in Ny arkitektur i Finland are in Swedish.
