The contributions are by Koji Yagi, Kulbshan Jain, Hemant Naik, Mayank Shah, Geoffrey Payne, Ahmet Ertuǧ, and A. A. Sultan. The essays analyse the conditions of the human environment in general, tribal communities in India, nomadic movements and settlements of the Rabari people of Kutch, the typology of the Miri Longhouse in Assam, Syrian housing, and the divine proportions in Islamic architecture, to name a few.

The texts are in Japanese and English. The articles have been richly illustrated with photographs and architectural drawings.
