Puinen Helsinki (Parvs Publishing, 2013) on Jussi Vepsäläisen ja Jussi Tiaisen kokoama taskukokoinen arkkitehtuuriopas Helsingin puuarkkitehtuuriin. Tekijät ovat valinneet kirjaan yli 100 kohdetta: päiväkoteja, kouluja ja muita puurakennuksia 1700-luvulta tähän päivään. Kirjan tekstit ovat suomeksi ja englanniksi.

Wooden Helsinki is a pocket-sized architectural guide to wooden buildings in Helsinki. The selection has been compiled by Jussi Vepsäläinen, architect, and Jussi Tiainen, photographer, and it includes both historical and new projects: daycare centres, schools, extensions, renovations and other wooden buildings dating from the 18th century to the 2010s. The texts are in Finnish and English.

Puinen Helsinki (Parvs Publishing, 2013) on arkkitehti Jussi Vepsäläisen ja arkkitehtuurivalokuvaaja Jussi Tiaisen kokoama näppärä, taskukoinen arkkitehtuuriopas Helsingin puuarkkitehtuurista. Kirjassa on yli 100 kohdetta: päiväkoteja, kouluja, laajennuksia ja peruskorjauksia – kaikki puusta ja kaikki helposti tutustuttavissa ainakin ulkopuolelta. Kohteiden aikajänne ulottuu 1700-luvulta 2010-luvulle.

Kirjan tekstit ovat suomeksi ja englanniksi. Kohteet on esitelty värivalokuvin. Mukana on pari pientä, kaaviomaista karttaa, osoitteisto kirjan kohteista sekä luettelo niiden arkkitehdeista.

Puinen Helsinki -arkkitehtuuriopas on saanut jatko-osan samojen tekijöiden Puinen Uusimaa -arkkitehtuurioppaasta (Parus Verus, 2017).


Wooden Helsinki is a handy, pocket-sized architectural guide to wooden buildings in Helsinki. The texts have been written by Jussi Vepsäläinen, architect, and the buildings have been photographed by Jussi Tiainen, distinguished architectural photographer. The book contains more than 100 architectural sites: daycare centres, schools, extensions, renovations – all made of wood and all within an easy reach and viewable at least from the outside. The time span of the presented projects ranges from the 18th century to the 2010s.

The texts are in Finnish and English. The projects have been presented with colour photographs. There are also some schematic maps, an index of locations with address details, and a list of the architects.

The Wooden Helsinki guide to architecture has been followed by the Wooden Uusimaa guidebook (Parus Verus, 2017) by the same authors.
