Puinen Uusimaa (Parus Verus, 2017) on Jussi Vepsäläisen ja Jussi Tiaisen kokoama näppärä arkkitehtuuriopas Uudenmaan alueen puuarkkitehtuuriin. Kirjan tekstit ovat suomeksi ja englanniksi, kohteet on esitelty värivalokuvin. Tekijät ovat valinneet kirjaan yli 100 kohdetta: yksittäisiä taloja, laajennuksia, peruskorjauksia ja laajempia rakennuskokonaisuuksia 1700-luvulta tähän päivään.

Wooden Uusimaa is a handy architectural guide to wooden buildings in the Uusimaa region in southern Finland. The selection – compiled by Jussi Vepsäläinen, architect, and Jussi Tiainen, photographer – includes both historical and new projects: houses, extensions, renovations and larger developments dating from the 18th century to the present day. The texts are in Finnish and English; the projects have been presented with colour photographs.

Puinen Uusimaa (Parus Verus, 2017) on arkkitehti Jussi Vepsäläisen ja maineikkaan arkkitehtuurivalokuvaaja Jussi Tiaisen kokoama näppärä arkkitehtuuriopas Uudenmaan alueen puuarkkitehtuuriin. Tekijät ovat valinneet kirjaan yli 100 kohdetta: uusia ja vanhoja rakennuksia, laajennuksia, peruskorjauksia ja laajempia rakennuskokonaisuuksia. Kirjassa on sekä aivan uutta puuarkkitehtuuria että historiallisia arvokohteita, aikajänne ulottuu 1700-luvulta tähän päivään.

Kirjan tekstit ovat suomeksi ja englanniksi. Kohteet on esitelty värivalokuvin. Mukana on pieni kaaviomainen kartta ja osoitteisto kirjan kohteista.

Puinen Uusimaa arkkitehtuuriopas on jatkoa samojen tekijöiden aiemmin julkaisemalle Puinen Helsinki -arkkitehtuurioppaalle (Parvs Publishing, 2013).


Wooden Uusimaa is an architectural guide to wooden buildings in the Uusimaa region in southern Finland. The book has been written by architect Jussi Vepsäläinen and the buildings have been photographed by Jussi Tiainen, distinguished architectural photographer. The authors have chosen more than 100 architectural sites where wood is the principal building material. The selection includes both historical and new projects as well as extensions, renovations and larger developments dating from the 18th century to the present day.

The texts are in Finnish and English. The projects have been presented with colour photographs. There is also a schematic map and an index of locations with address details.

The Wooden Uusimaa guide to architecture is a follow-up to the Wooden Helsinki guidebook (Parvs Publishing, 2013) by the same authors.
