Rob Krier Urban Projects 1968–1982 (eds. Kenneth Frampton and Silvia Kolbowski, Rizzoli 1982) is an exhibition catalogue no 5 produced by the famed Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies (1967–1984). The book opens with two essays: Kenneth Frampton’s Krier in Context, and Deborah Berke’s Rob Krier and the Utopian Tradition in Housing. The rest of the book has been devoted to Rob Krier’s typological analyses and project presentations.

The book has English text and it has been lavishly illustrated with black-and-white photographs and Rob Krier’s fantastic drawings.

For more information about IAUS, please read Belmont Freeman’s article “The moment for something to happen” (January 2014) at Places.

Our copy in stock is in okay condition (it has apparently been read a lot). The pages are clean except for the slight yellowing on their upper edges, and two pages have detached from the glued binding. The front cover has a small tear and there are signs of use and wear on the covers.
