Soviet Design: From Constructivism To Modernism 1920–1980 (Scheidegger and Spiess, 2020) is a completely new treatise about interior architecture and furniture design in the Soviet Union.  The authors, Kristina Krasnyanskaya and Alexander Semenov with contributions by Christina Lodder and Elizaveta Likhacheva. The book is the first-ever survey on Soviet-era interior design and it draws on previously unavailable archive material.

The formation of design in the USSR was shaped by a very particular political and historical context. The idea of “breaking through to the new” was the central and decisive factor in its development, its forms, and its social aspect. The concept of “constructing a new environment” was a source of great inspiration to architects and artists in their bold explorations to iterate a new artistic object environment.
— Kristina Krasnyanskaya in her Foreword in Soviet Design: From Constructivism To Modernism 1920–1980 (Scheidegger and Spiess, 2020), p. 15

The texts are in English, and the book has been richly illustrated with colour and black-and-white photographs, architectural drawings and historical archive material.
