Woodland Sweden (Architects Sweden, 2018) is a small exhibition catalogue that showcases contemporary wood architecture by Swedish architects. The catalogue has been compiled by Elisabet Näslund, and it contains a short introduction by architecture critic Mark Isitt. Architects Sweden is a professional association for all architects and architecture students in Sweden.

The scale of the projects vary from details and furniture design to public buildings and urban infill projects. For more information about the Woodland Sweden exhibition, please visit woodlandsweden.se. The contents have been thematised into sections such as Public Spaces in Wood, or The Future is Wooden, and the text also reflects historical development of timber production in Sweden.

In Sweden, we have a long tradition of using nature as raw materials in our built environment. The habit of using wood in buildings, interiors and public spaces is especially strong and has produced architects and craftsmen with unique skills(…) My wish is that the contents of this publication inspire you an ripen your eyes to all the possibilities wood and Swedish architects have to offer.
– Lousie Masreliez, President, Architects Sweden, in Woodland Sweden (Architects Sweden, 2018)

The text is in English and the illustration consists of colour photographs of the presented projects.
