The Bauwelt Fundamente book series was founded in 1963 by Ulrich Conrads and has continued ever since. Today, the series has grown to over 150 volumes, making it the most comprehensive German‑language series on architectural theory and urbanism. The books provide key texts on the history and theory of architecture and urban development, especially modernism, in an accessible pocket-sized paperback format.
