James Stirling – Buildings & Projects 1950–1974 is an early monograph edited by John Jacobus published in 1975. James Stirling (1926–1992) was a British architect who had a massively influential career through the passing styles and trends of the Modernist era.
The book includes a chronological list of all Stirling’s works and projects until 1974 and a more detailed study of selected highlights. John Jacobus gives a thorough assessment of Stirling’s architectural approach in his critical introduction. The texts are mostly in English; the descriptions and captions in the selected project are also in German.
