Rem Koolhaas OMA – Architecture 1970–1990 by Jacques Lucan (Princeton Architectural Press 1991) presents selected projects by architects Rem Koolhaas, Zoe Zenghelis, and Madelon Vriesendorp and their team at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture.

The choice of projects responds to two objectives. The first is to publish works that synthesize OMA’s unique mode of thinking by showing all the iconographic elements indispensable to its understanding, accompanied by explanatory texts by the architects in order to prevent superficial interpretations of the projects. The second is to establish connections in the series of projects which develop the architectural and urbanistic themes that are constant across different programs and sites, to extract the rationality and coherence of their work.
– Jacques Lucan, Foreword to Rem Koolhaas OMA Architecture 1970–1990 (Princeton Architectural Press, 1991),p.7, excerpts

The text is in English. The book is lavishly illustrated with OMA’s signature provocative graphics.
