Timo Sarpaneva Collection – La Colección (Designmuseo, 2006) is a richly illustrated catalogue of Sarpaneva’s design objects and artworks in the possession of the Designmuseo in Helsinki. Timo Sarpaneva (1926–2006) was an internationally acclaimed Finnish designer whose international breakthrough was the Grand Prize at the 1954 Milan Triennale. The book tells about Sarpaneva’s career with a special emphasis on his work at the Iittala Glasswork. The collection presentation presents a small image of the object and gives the details of the design year, manufacturer, materials and the id number in the Designmuseo collection database. There is also a concise cv and a list of further literature. The texts are in English and Spanish.
The copy in stock is in fine condition. There is some minor shelf wear on the covers, that’s all.
