Bach/Mora Arquitectos-Architects by Ignasi de Solà-Morales and Dennis L. Dollens (Editorial Gustavo Gili 1996) presents their complete portfolio.
James Back Núeñez (Sadabell, 1943) and Gabriel Mora Gramunt (Barcelona, 1941) graduated from the Escola Tècnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona in 1969 and 1966 respectively. Both architects worked in the studio of Martorell/Bohigas/MMackay between 1965 and 1967. Since 1970 they have combined their professional practice with teaching at the Escola Tècnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona, and have been visiting professors at the architecture schools of Urbino, Hannover and Dublin. Their work has been exhibited on numerous occasions in Europe and America, and they gave received various awards, including FAD prizes in 1982, 1987, 1988 and 1989, nomination for the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion European Awards, and the Brunel Commendation of the International Awards for Outstanding Visual Design in Public Railway transport in 1989 (Utrecht), 1992 Madrid) and 1994 (Washington).
The present book, the most complete to date on these architects’ work, offers a chronological selection of the most significant works and projects produced since 1975, each one accompanied by numerous illustrations in colour and black / white, as well as abundant architectural documentation.
