Bygg Bättre Samhällen was published in 1943 and it introduces new ideas for post-war town planning and urban reconstruction. The small booklet consists of seven articles; the contributors are Carl-Fredrik Ahlberg, Sigurd Erixon, Erik Friberger, Olof Hasslöf, Sune Lindström and Uno Åhrén. The articles are based on Swedish research and discussions by the following institutions: Institute för Västsvensk Kulturforskning, Kulturminnesrådet i Bohuslän, Tekniska Samfundets avdelning för Husbyggnadskonst, and Västsvenska Hembygdsnämden.
