Contemporary American Architects is part of the Contemporary Architecture book series published by Taschen. The 15 presented architectural practices are Arquitectonica, Peter Eisenman, Frank O. Gehry, Charles Gwathmey, Steven Holl, Helmut Jahn, Richard Meier, Charles Moore, Morphosis, Eric Owen Moss, Ieoh Ming Pei, Antoine Predock, Bart Prince, SITE and Robert Venturi. Each architectural practice is introduced with their design philosophy and a couple of key works. The book also contains Philip Jodidio’s introductory essay American Architecture Today and the biographies of the presented architects.
The texts are in English, French and German. The projects have been presented with good quality colour photos and some architectural drawings.
The copy in stock is in good condition. There is some shelf wear on the covers, some yellowing on the edges of the pages and a couple of original price stickers on the back cover.
