Part One elaborates the Arts and Crafts Movement in England, Art Nouveau, the Viennese School of Architecture, German Werkbund, the Chicago School of Architecture and their theoretical underpinnings. Part Two focuses on the development towards an autonomous architecture through revived classicism, constructivism, neoplasticism, expressionism, the Bauhaus and so forth.
The text is in English. The book is illustrated with black-and-white photographs and architectural drawings.
Our copy in stock is in nice condition. The covers have some stains and dirt, but the binding is firm and the pages are clean. The back flyleaf has some pencil markings.
