Erich Mendelsohn – Skizzen, Entwürfe, Bauten (Das Gesamtschaffen des Architekten; Rudolf Mosse Buchverlag Berlin, 1929/1930) is a beautiful, early, German-speaking monograph of the pioneering expressionist, functionalist and modernist Erich Mendelsohn (1887–1953). The book contains Mendelsohn’s essay “Das Problem einer neuen Baukunst” (Vortrag im Arbeitsrat für Kunst, Berlin 1919); rest of the book presents his works and projects.
The text is in German. The book is richly illustrated with black-and-white photographs and drawings of Mendelsohn’s architecture as well as his sketches.
