Austrian architect Hermann Kaufmann (b. 1955) was the winner of the Finnish wood architecture award – Spirit of Nature – in 2010. This book presents his architectural works which range from industrial buildings to small vacation houses. The book also contains an essay “Industrial Architecture Born from Intelligent Handicraft” by Otto Kapfinger which discusses Kaufmann’s pioneering role in the advancement of wood in building.
