Home: The Twentieth-Century House by Deyan Sudjic (Laurence King Publishing, 1999) analyses the architectural design history of homes and their artefacts. The time span is roughly from 1900 to 1999. The book contains two sections: The history of the Domestic Idea 1900–1999; and The Next Generation, which presents a collection of 50 contemporary house designs.
The lavish illustration consists of photographs, architectural drawings and archive images of architectural details, furniture, household items and other artefacts.
