Lucien Kroll: Buildings and Projects is a monograph of the influential Belgian architect who is best known for his participatory design approach and user involvement. Kroll (b. 1927) has been classified as a post-modernist, but his unique architectural thinking does not fall easily into any other category but great, original modern architecture. Kroll’s works include housing designs, renovations, university buildings, monasteries, and landscape designs and the monograph features 22 examples of his architecture – including the internationally acclaimed La MéMé, the student complex for the Medical Faculty at the Catholic University of Louvain. The texts in this richly illustrated book are in English.
The Lucien Kroll: Buildings and Projects monograph is still one of the best comprehensive accounts available of Kroll’s architectural practice. The copy in stock is in excellent condition. There’s only some slight yellowing on the edges of the pages.
