O. M. Ungers 1951–1984 Bauten und projekte is a monograph about Oswald Mathias Ungers (1926–2007), a German architect and an influential protagonist for modernist rationalism. The book was published by Vieweg for the German Architecture Museum (Deutsches Architekturmuseum) in 1985.
The book presents projects and buildings by O. M. Ungers from the early 1950s to mid-1980s including designs for private houses as well as his internationally acknowledged works for the Tegel Airport in Berlin (1966), the museum building for Deutsches Architekturmuseum, the German Library (1982), and the Museum for Modern Art (1983), all in Frankfurt am Main (1979–1984). The book also contains Ungers’s text “Bemerkungen zu meinen entwürfen und bauten” and an introduction by Heinrich Klotz, the editor. The book has been richly illustrated with architectural drawings and black-and-white photographs. All the texts are in German.
