Nordiska Profiler – Nordic Images is an exhibition catalogue from the year 1995. The book was part of a touring exhibition that presented contemporary designers and artists from Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Each country has its own section in the book, and in total, 28 Nordic artists are profiled – hence the title ‘nordiska profiler’ [nordic profiles]. The texts in Nordiska Profiler – Nordic Images are in English and varyingly also in Swedish, Danish and Finnish.
In Finland, the exhibition was on display at the Design Museum in Helsinki between 10 May and 11 June 1995. The Finnish artists and designers included in the book are Brita Flander, Päivi Kekäläinen, Päivi Mikola, Ritva Puotila, Kai Rentola and Janna Syvänoja. The introduction for Finland has been written by Micael Ernstell.
The copy in stock is in good condition. There is an owner’s signature on the first free endpaper, and there is some original material such as the exhibition leaflet stored between the pages.
