Russian Constructivism by Christina Lodder (Yale University Press, 1983/1990, 4th printing) is a comprehensive study of the influential movement that deeply affected 20th-century art and architecture. Lodder’s book was one of the first modern accounts of the Russian Constructivism, and it covers both its political and the artistic ideals as regards the building and shaping of the new Socialist society.
The text is in English. The book has been richly illustrated with black-and-white photographs, art reprints (both in colour and in black-and-white) and other visual archive material.
The copy in our stock is in good condition. The pages are clean without any markings except for the stamp and signature on the first flyleaves. The glueing of the binding is fine. There is some age-related yellowing on the edges of the pages, and the covers show some shelf wear and signs of use.
