Swedish Architecture in Wood – The 2008 Timber Prize (Arvinius Förlag AB, 2008) presents of the best of Swedish timber architecture. The book has been authored by Per Bergkvist, Caroline Danielsson, Marie Åsell, and Lotta Lander.
Swedish timber architecture is getting better and better, the jury find, and they selected 11 nominees from upwards of 200 entries. The nominees are presented in this book in words, pictures and drawings. They represent different sizes, types and uses, ut all of them share with östra Kvarnskogen a love and respect for nature and the genius loci (…) The Timber Prize has been awarded every four years since 1967 by the Swedish Forst Industries Federation, Skogsindustrierna.
