Frank Lloyd Wright’s The Natural House (The New American Library: A Mentor Book & Horizon Press, 1963) collects Wright’s central theses about great architecture in a pocket book format. The copyright year os 1954 for Horizon Press, first printing 1963. The contents is thematised in two parts: Book One 1936–1953, and Book Two 1954. The texts include classics such as Organic Architecture, In the Nature of Materials: A Philosophy and The Usonian House, and new texts written for this particular publication.
The text is in English. The book has been richly illustrated with black-and-white photos and architectural drawings.
The copy in our stock is still in usable condition. The pages show toning and have pencil underlinings and notes; there is a signature on the first flyleaf. The glueing of the binding is mostly fine, but there are some fragile spreads, however. The covers show shelf wear and edge wear.
