Frank Lloyd Wright’s The Natural House (The New American Library: A Mentor Book & Horizon Press, 1963) collects Wright’s central theses about great architecture in a pocket book format. The copyright year os 1954 for Horizon Press, first printing 1963. The contents is thematised in two parts: Book One 1936–1953, and Book Two 1954. The texts include classics such as Organic Architecture, In the Nature of Materials: A Philosophy and The Usonian House, and new texts written for this particular publication.
The text is in English. The book has been richly illustrated with black-and-white photos and architectural drawings.
Our current copy is nice condition. The pages are toned, but the pages are clean, no markings except for the previous owner’s signature on the first flyleaf. The glueing of the binding is fine. The covers show some signs of shelf wear, edge wear, and use.
