Trästäder i Norden (2nd ed. 1973) is a guidebook to the wooden towns in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. The book is compiled by national editorial groups country by country.
Each town has been presented with a few images and a descriptive text about its history and urban features.
The texts are in Swedish and partly in Danish. The illustration consists of black-and-white photographs and maps.
Our copy of Trästäder i Norden is somewhat worn out, but still in fully usable condition. The pages are clean without any markings, except for the title page which is full of notes about an excursion. The glueing of the binding is fine. There is some yellowing on the upper edges of the pages, and the covers show shelf wear and signs of use. The printing and finishing of the spine are somewhat damaged.
