Urban Adventures – Urbaanit elämysten paikat (ed. Anna-Maija Ylimaula; Future Home Institute & University of Art and Design Helsinki, 2002) explores the interface of art and research in urban planning. Contributions by Anna-Maija Ylimaula, Panu Lehtovuori, Tuula Isohanni and Jukka Vikberg.
The places of urban experience was the teme of a working group in which Tuula Isohanni, Master of Arts, the architect Panu Lehtovuori and the sculptor Jukka Vikberg under the direction of professor Anna-Maija Ylimaula sought the interface of art and research in urban planning. The members of the working group share a concern for the processes of the urban enviroment that erode identity. They believe that a new experiential approach to urban space and its planning can produce better cities and opportunities for fuller and richer urban life.
