Germano Celant; Skira editore, 2004) is an Italian-speaking book about the close connections between modern architecture and modern art.The book was published in conjunction with an exhibition at the Palazzo Ducale in Genova, Italy, between 1 October 2004 and 13 February 2005.
The book presents a carefully curated selection of avant-garde explorations on the fluctuating boundary between these disciplines between 1900 and the 1960s. The presented phenomena and architect-artists include Futurism, Dada, Neoplasticism, Russian Constructivism, de Stijl, Le Corbusier, Buckminster Fuller, Alvar Aalto, Archigram, Archizoom, Superstudio, Emilio Sottsass and many more.
The text is in Italian. The book is lavishly illustrated photographs and art images.
Our copy in stock is in very good condition. The pages are clean, no markings. The glueing of the binding shows no signs of weakening. The covers show only some minor signs of shelf wear and use.
