Classical Chinese Gardens (ed. Qian Yun ; Joint Publishing Company & China Building Industry Press, 1982/1984) is a photo book that presents examples of Chinese garden architecture and the art of garden-making. The book covers imperial gardens, private gardens as well as natural scenic parks and temple gardens. There is also an introductory essay that explains principles and traditional philosophy of garden design in China.
The text is in English. The book is lavishly illustrated with colour photographs and garden plans.
Our copy in stock is in very good condition. The pages are clean, no markings. The binding is fine. The protective case is in good shape; there is only some minor signs of shelf wear. The same applies to the dust jacket.
