I Protagonisti del Design [Protagonists of Design] is a series of small monographs about masters of international design published by Hachette and curated by Vando Pagliardini. This issue focuses on Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985), a multitalent and the leading figure of modern Finnish industrial art.
The richly illustrated book contains Wirkkala’s concise biography and a gallery of the most well-known works from his vast production. There is a special focus article about the Murano glassware collection for Venini designed by Wirkkala in the 1960s. The texts are in Italian.
