Wohnort Halen: Eine Architekturreportage, by Esther Thormann-Wirz & Fritz Thormann (Tschudy 1964), is a photo-reportage on the influential modernist housing project, Siedlung Halen, near Bern in Switzerland. The architectural descriptions and the translations in French and English are attached as a supplement.
The text is in German. The book consists of 95 black-and-white photographs. The supplement contains some schematic architectural drawings.
Our current copy is in a used but still usable condition. The pages are clean; no markings except for the previous owner’s stamp on the back of the first flyleaf. The binding is fine. The covers show signs of wear and use, but they are relatively fine compared to the spine part which is almost torn off.
