Zodiac 5 International Magazine of Contemporary Architecture (1959) presents texts and projects by e.g Henry Russell Hitchcock, Ulrich Conrads, Frank Lloyd Wright, Jørn Utzon, Finn Juhl, Arne Jacobsen and much more.

For instance, the Viewpoints section on the theme of handicrafts have contributions by Gerd Hate and Ettore Sottsass Jr. , and there is also an article about The Bauhaus of Tomorrow. The project presentations include Jörn Utzon’s Sydney Opera House and Kingo Housing Complex; Arne Jacobsen’s design for the SAS building and many other 1950s classics. The Focus on Young Architects presents projects by Coderch & Valls, Jan de Swart, Pierre Koenig, Chen Kuen Lee, Angelo Magiarotti and Bruno Morassutti, and Eduardo Vittoria.

The texts are in French, partly Italian and English. The publication has been richly illustrated with black-and-white photographs (also a few colour photos) and architectural drawings.

The copy in our stock is in nice condition except for a slight musty smell. The binding is a bit fragile and partly loose, but the pages are clean without markings except for some yellowing on the edges. The dust jacket shows some signs of shelf wear and it is a bit edge worn. The covers show some shelf wear and signs of use.
