Perspecta 21: The Yale Architectural Journal (1984) contains contributions by Gavin Macrea-Gibson, K. Michael Hays, Steven Holl, Mary Miss, 4+4, Marc Hacker, Diane Ghirardo, Peter Papademetriou, Hal Foster, and Peter Eisenman. The editors of this issue are Carol J. Burns and Robert Taylor.
The essays included herein study today’s architecture in relation to the wider cultural field of our time, and also consider how the architecture of the past is reconciled and repossessed according to the knowledge of our own day. by examining the unsure gowned at the edge of the discipline’s established precincts, by advancing new theory, or by re-evaluating important work of the past according to new criteria, this journal considers architecture as an artefact embedded in the cultural matrix of the present.

The copy in our stock is in nice condition. The pages are clean without any markings, and the glueing of the binding is fine. There is some age-related yellowing on the upper edges of the pages, and the covers show some signs of wear and use, and exposure to light as the red colour on the covers and spine is faded.
